Culture of FAshion - ARt - MUsic
Welcome. It's been an interesting year of colliding arts and mysteries in San Francisco.
I'm a hub in the wheelwell of this churning cauldron. I've been around forever-New York, Boston, Los Angeles, London, Montreal and now- San Francisco. I am a musician/songwriter, promoter, producer, writer, marketer and a mother. I have a gift for finding what's happening before the trend sets and the sun disappears over the horizon.
Its all about being authentic without the hype of who's doing what and where kind of competitive edge. You know the kids are doing it like this kind of hype that gets everyone anxious. I curate art and advise on just about everything at RAG- Resident's Apparel Gallery 541 Octavia Street, (Hayes Valley district) SF - And from my vantage point, there's a happening here that is akin to 1967-before the hippies came from everywhere and destroyed the lawns, permeating the place with anarchy anti-war slogans and "Be-ins"-They brought new music and new fashion and new life styles...hey wait a minute...that's what happening NOW!! Only this time, we have electronic madness accompanying our drift- So, the globe is our oyster- GEtting on with it.....getting in touch with our hUmaness, going GREEN, feeling responsible and engaged by the wholeness of our human existence-Freedom by creating the choices that sustain the group as a whole
I'm doing my part by being supportive of all the artists/designers/musicians I come in contact with- putting on events @RAG bi-monthly for our artists in residence is just the beginning!
NOW I'd like to put on events/support and promote out in the global community- for your gallery-your current series of work be it visual art, music, literature or multi-media
I want to REPresent my heartfelt belief in furthering artistic endeavors in others as part of my own art in the world....GET IT OUT THERE and MAKE CONNECTIONS FOR MUTUAL HAPPINESS!!!
What do you say? - Take a Chance - Give It A Shot! DECLARE you're alive!
